Had a great week in Ste Foy with a group from Mountain Tracks. At the beginning of the week we discussed going to as many of the local ski areas as practical but the conditions were so good up the hill the we ended up skiing 4 outof 5 days here. Working with Olly, mountain guide, was great and everybody seemed to enjoy the contrast between our two styles. A trip to Italy via La Rosiere and over to La Thuile was the only time we escaped and we found some very good off piste skiing. Lunch in Italy was also very pleasent!
On Monday this week I skied with 3 good skiers and after a warm up in the ski area we hiked for about an hour to the summit of the Foglietta and skied the North Face. Excellent conditions and a great long descent. After lunch back in the station we managed another couple of good runs by which time all our legs were feeling the pace.
Its a quieter week this week so I am doing some lessons for the staff at the Auberge but it all kicks off again on Saturday when the next Mountain Tracks group checks in. The forecast is for more snow so heres hoping for a good week.
